- Any person who maliciously abuses any powers conferred on him by, or under this Act shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to [three years] [Substituted by Goa Children's (Amendment) Act, 2005 [Act No. 20 of 2005].] or with fine which may extend to [fifty thousand rupees] [Substituted by Goa Children's (Amendment) Act, 2005 [Act No. 20 of 2005].] or with both.
