Section 23(2) in The U.P. Harcourt Butler Technical University Act, 2016
(2)The Dean of a School shall be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, from amongst the Professors from the Departments under the schools referred to in sub-section (1). The emoluments, terms and conditions of service and powers and duties shall be such as may be laid down in the Ordinances. He shall work directly under the control of the Vice-Chancellor.
