Section 23(3) in Assam Land Revenue Re-Assessment Act, 1936
(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Court-fees Act, 1870 (VII of 1870), there shall be payable on any petition of appeal presented under sub-section (2) a court-fee calculated at the rate of one rupee for each field or site included therein subject to a maximum of 1.20 in respect of field or sites situated in the same village, the petitioner being entitled, if the appeal is successful, to the refund of the fee in proportion to his success.
