Section 68 in Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961
68. Landowner's right to resume under [Tamil Nadu Act] [Substituted for the word 'Madras Act' by paragraph 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1970.] XXV of 1955 not affected.
- Nothing contained in this Chapter shall be deemed to affect the right of any land owner under the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, ([Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act XXV of 1995), to resume possession for purpose of personal cultivation of the land the possession of which has been taken by the authorised officer under this Chapter and for the purposes of such resumption the Government shall be deemed to be the cultivating tenant in respect of the land aforesaid.
