DR. BEESETTI VENKATA SATYAVATHI (ANAKAPALLE): Sir, thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to raise a matter of public importance during the Zero Hour.
Vaidya Narayana Hari – many students have an ambition in their lives to become doctors and many select students with BIPC combination in their Higher Secondary level aspire to become doctors. As you know, the seats in the medical colleges are very less and also the number of medical colleges are also few in the country. As an alternative to this, many students opt for B.Pharmacy. In my Parliamentary constituency we have a Pharma city. The former Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the late Ananth Kumar, during his visit to Visakhapatnam, promised a Petro-chemical University and establishment of a NIPER Institute at Paravada since the Pharma city is located there.
Sir, through you, I would like to request the hon. Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers to sanction a NIPER so that many students can study in that prestigious national institute in order that they have quality education and better job opportunities.
