Ahmad Choudhary (Presiding Officer, Fast Track Court, Jammu) Sh Meharban Singh (Panel Lawyer) AWARD BENCH-I The dispute between the parties having been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat held today and the parties having compromised/settled the matter, the following award is passed in terms of the settlement:
Learned Counsel for Appellant/Assurance company Sh Jugal Kishore Gupta Advocate and Learned Counsel for Respondent No. I/claimant, Sh. Sourabh Dewan Advocate are present and they have stated that the matter has been settled on the terms that the principal award amount of Rs 12.34 Lac (Rupees Twelve Lac Thirty Four Thousand Only) be reduced to Rs 9.50 Lac ( Rupees Nine Lac Fifty thousand Only) and the rest of the terms and conditions of the award passed by the Ld. Tribunal( Udhampur) shall remain the same. The appeal is accordingly settled for Rs 9.50 Lac with interest as awarded by the Tribunal. Excess amount, if any, along with proportionate interest shall be refunded to the Insurance Company.
File to be submitted back to Registry of Hon'ble the High Court for appropriate orders.
