70. Authority to sign cheque.
- [(i) Cheques of the value of Rupees two thousand and below or as may be authorised by the Board from time to time drawn on behalf of the Market Committee shall be signed by Secretary and all other cheques drawn on behalf of the Market Committee shall be signed by the Secretary and countersigned by the Chairman or by the Vice-Chairman in the absence of the Chairman, as the case may be:Provided that cheques of any account for payment of salary and allowances of staff and statutory liabilities shall bear only the signature of the Secretary.] [Substituted by G.S.R. 3 dated 20.2.1996.]
