69. Power to remove the name of any graduate or diploma holder from register or from membership of authority or body of the University.
(1)The Chancellor may, on the request of the Board of Management, remove the name of any person from the register of graduates or diploma holders or from membership of any authority or body of the university, if:-(i)he is guilty of gross misconduct; and(ii)he acts prejudicial to the interest of the university :Provided that the Chancellor shall cause a preliminary enquiry to be made and if he is satisfied that prima facie case exists, he shall serve on such person charge-sheet, in writing, stating the misbehaviour or the act prejudicial to the interest of the university, as the case may be.
