Section 1006(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Fired cartridge cases shall be returned to the Fort William Arsenal, as soon as possible after the annual musketry course. They shall be returned in good condition in used ammunition boxes, securely closed, to prevent loss in transit. Care shall be taken that grit and dirt are removed and that no live cartridges are included. Disciplinary action will be taken if live cartridges are found in any consignment of fired cases.
