Superintendence of Police Force to vest in the State Government. - The superintendence of the Police Force throughout [the [State of Maharashtra]] vests in and exercisable by the State Government and [subject to such superintendence, the Secretary to the State Government in the Home Department, whether designated as Secretary, Home Secretary, Special Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary or otherwise, in charge of the Law and Order Division of the Home Department shall exercise control, direction and supervision over the Police Force].
