(2)The Selection Board shall consider the names of all eligible candidates for promotion to the different cadres of the service who are coming within the Zone of consideration as per the provisions of Orissa Civil Services (Zone of Consideration for Promotion) Rules, 1998 for persons belonging to general category and the provisions of Orissa Reservation of Vacancies in Posts and Services for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 1975 and rules made thereunder for persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
