RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK, J The present writ petition is directed against the order dated 24.7.2014 (Annexure P-8), whereby the petitioner was retrenched from service by paying retrenchment compensation and one month salary in lieu of one month's notice.
A perusal of the impugned order would show that the matter falls within the exclusive domain of Industrial Disputes Act. In such a situation, petitioner is not entitled to invoke the extra ordinary writ jurisdiction of this court, under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India. It is so said, because the petitioner has got an equally efficacious alternative remedy under the Industrial Disputes Act.
In view of the above, petitioner is relegated to her alternative remedy under the Industrial Disputes Act.
Disposed of, accordingly.
