Section 198 in Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007
198. Power of making drains.
(1)The Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer, or any other agency authorized by him in this behalf, may carry any municipal drain through, across, or under, any street, or any place laid out as, or intended for, a street or under any cellar or vault, which may be under any street, and, after giving a reasonable notice in writing to the owner or the occupier thereof, into through or under any land whatsoever within the municipal area, or, for the purpose of out-fall or distribution of sewage, outside the municipal area.(2)The Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer, or any other agency authorized by him in this behalf, may construct any new drain in place of an existing drain or repair or alter any municipal drain so constructed.
