Section 23(1) in The Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970
(1)The Academic Council shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, superintend, direct and control, and be responsible for the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examinations and other matters connected with the obtaining of degrees and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed.
