Section 46(4) in THE COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1986
(4)If a member of any authority or body of theUniversitywho is not an ex-officio member fails to attend threeconsecutive meetings of that authority or body, heshall ceaseto be a member of such authority or body and thereupon theRegistrar shall intimate him that he has ceased to be suchmember:Provided that such authority or body may, if satisfied thatthere was sufficient cause for the failure of the member toattend the meetings, restore him to its memberships.
