Section 18(3) in The Meghalaya Maintenance Of Public Under (Autonomous Districts) Act
(3)Notwithstanding the provisions in sub-section (2) above, no order made, direction given or proceedings commenced under the Assam Maintenance of Public Order Act, 1497, shall be invalid by reason of being inconsistent with any of the provisions of the Act.
