Section 45(1) in Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919
(1)For the purposes of the election of the [two hundred] [Substituted for the words 'one hundred and fifty-five' by the T.N. Act No. 1 of 2011, w.e.f. 21.12.2010.] councillors referred to in sub-section (1) of section 5, the city shall be divided into [two hundred] [Substituted for the words 'one hundred and fifty-five' by the T.N. Act No. 1 of 2011, w.e.f. 21.12.2010.] territorial divisions the boundaries of which shall be fixed by the State Government by notification.
