Section 10(1) in Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University Act, 2019

(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the advice of the State Government out of a panel of persons of national eminence, prepared through a transparent screening process:Provided that the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed for a period of three years by the State Government.
