Section 74(4) in West Bengal Municipal (Building) Rules, 2007
(4)The planning, design and installation of lighting and ventilation, electrical installations and fittings, air-conditioning and heating work, acoustics, sound insulation and noise control and the number, type and installations of lifts and escalators shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of building services of the latest edition of the National Electrical Code of India :Provided that for electrical installation in respect of any building the provisions of the latest edition of the National Electrical Code and the rules made under the Electricity Act, 2003, shall apply.
