(b)the expression "cho" means a stream or torrent flowing through or from the Siwalik mountain range within [Punjab] [Substituted for the word 'East Punjab' (which had been inserted for the word 'Punjab' by the Indian Independence (Adaption of Bengal and Punjab Acts) Order 1948) by the Adaptation of Laws (Third Amendment) Order, 1951.];
