Section 42(1) in The Chhattisgarh Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh Adhiniyam, 1973
(1)Every person becoming a member under clauses (d), (1) and (g) of Section 40 may at any time resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Chairman, and upon receipt of resignation by the Chairman, the office of the member shall become vacant.
