(1)[A member or panch of a Gaon Panchayat, Circle Panchayat or Panchayat Adalat] [Substituted by Central Act 9 of 1957.] may be removed at any time by the prescribed authority in the manner prescribed if he (a) incurs any disqualification under sub-section (4) of Section 44.(b) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting, or(c) without reasonable cause absents himself for more than two consecutive months from the sittings of [the Gaon Panchayat or the Circle Panchayat] [Substituted by Central Act 9 of 1957.] or the Panchayati Adalat, as the case may be, or(d) is in the opinion of the prescribed authority guilty of misconduct in the discharge of his duties, or(e) in the opinion of the prescribed authority undesirable in the public interest to continue in office.
