Section 12(a) in Orissa Economiser Inspection Administrative Rules, 1952
(a)After the economiser has been cleaned, the inspection shall make a thorough examination so far as it construction permits. The external condition of the tubes should be carefully noted for wasting especially at the feed inlet end and all accessible tubes should be caliphered. The internal surfaces of cast iron tubes should be caliphered. The internal surface of cast iron tubes should be closely observed for graphitic washing as far as it possible and in the event of any failure these should be broken up for security so that the general internal condition of the other tubes may be estimated.
