Section 4(3) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Building Rules, 1972
(3)The executive authority may require the applicant -(a)to furnish him with any information which has not already been furnished; or(b)to satisfy him that there are no objections which may lawfully be taken to the grant of permission to execute the work.
