Section 402(1) in The City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948
(1)The State Government may depute an officer not below the rank of Assistant or Extra-Assistant Commissioner to make an inspection or examination of any department, office, service, work, or thing under the control of any Corporation authority and to report to it the result of such inspection or examination.
