(2)When proprietary right in sir devolves on a person on whom it would have devolved under the personal law to which the deceased was subject and hereditary rights accrue in favour of other persons under the provisions of sub-section (1), the Assistant Collector in-charge of the sub-division shall demarcate and divide off the area in which hereditary rights accrue and shall, in accordance with rules made by the Board, determine the rent payable for such area.Explanation. - In this section and in Section 9 the expression "personal law" in the case of Muslims shall mean the Muslim law, of inheritance.
