44. Act to have overriding effect, but shall be in addition to existing laws.
(1)The provisions of this Act and the rules shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any other law for the time being in force or in any instrument having effect by virtue of any other law.(2)Subject to the provisions of sub-section (1), the provisions of this Act shall be in addition to, and not, save as expressly provided hereinabove, be in derogation of the provisions of any relevant municipal law or any other law for the time being in force in any area in which this Act has come into force.
