Subject to the provisions of this Act, the District Council Fund shall also be appointed for the following purposes, namely :(i)payment of any stipend or scholarship to students in accordance with rules and orders of the Education Department;(ii)payment of such sums of money as may be found necessary for construction extension, improvement and maintenance of school buildings and for provisions for mid-day meal, playground, furniture and equipment;(iii)payment of legal expenses and other expenses which may be found necessary.
