7. Conversion of free to air channel into pay channel or a pay channel into free to air channel.
- A channel once declared free to air channel or pay channel shall remain such channel for at least a period of one year and any broadcaster shall, before converting a free to air channel into pay channel or a pay channel into free to air channel, inform the Authority and shall give one month's notice before such conversion in two local newspapers, out of which one shall be published in the newspaper of the regional language of the area in which such conversion takes place.
