Mr. D. Das, learned Advocate General, Mizoram; Ms. T. Khro, learned Additional Advocate General, Nagaland and Mr. B.D. Goswami; learned Additional Advocate General, Arunachal Pradesh pray for and are granted four weeks time to file their respective affidavits in compliance to the directions given by this Court on 30.08.2023.

Mr. H.K. Das, learned standing counsel for the Gauhati High Court points out from the affidavit filed on behalf of the State of Assam that the e-Prisons App is not properly functioning in real time and that there is a gap of about 24 to 48 hours in collating the biometric data of the prisoners.

Ms. R. Baruah, learned counsel associated to Mr. D. Saikia, learned Advocate General, Assam submits that the process of updating the e-Prisons App is underway and the issues are likely to be ironed out within next four weeks.
