Section 259 in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
259. Vesting of connections to premises in the Corporation. -
The Municipal Commissioner may, if he thinks fit, take charge of all supply pipes and water-fittings of any premises connected with the mains of the Corporation and under such circumstances as may be specified by regulations, the same shall thereafter vest in and be maintained at the expense of the Corporation.
