Section 6 in The Rajasthan Lands Summary Settlement Act, 1953
6. Soil classification and assessment circles.
(1)The Settlement Officer shall divide the unsettled lands and holdings in the area under summary settlement into soil classes and assessment circles.(2)Assessment circles shall be formed on the basis of similarity of soil classes, uniformity of geographical conditions and other easily distinguishable features of the area under summary settlement.
