57B. Powers and responsibility of Wards Committee.
(1)It shall be the responsibility of the Wards Committee to take all possible measures, subject to the provisions of this Act and overall control of the Municipality or public health, sanitation, street lighting and conservancy in the Ward, for protection of the environment and promotion of ecological aspects of the Ward and for such other matters as may be entrusted by the Municipality.(2)The Wards Committee shall have powers recommend to the Municipality the measures needed for the purpose mentioned in Sub-section (1).Chapter-VI Committees
