Section 7 in Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage Act, 1911
7. Grant of carriage licence.
(1)The [Deputy Commissioner] [Substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage (Amendment) Act, 1964 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1964).] shall, at the time of registration, deliver a licence duly signed by him to the applicant.(2)A licence granted under this section shall be in force for the year of registration.
