Section 59(1) in Andhra Pradesh Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats (Conduct of Election) Rules, 1965
(1)If any person has been elected for more wards then one, he shall by notice in writing signed by him, intimate to the Election Officer the ward for which he chooses to serve. Such intimation shall reach the Election Officer within seventy-two hours of the declaration of the results of elections in the last ward for which such person stood as a candidate.
