Whenever any vacancy for a Grama Rakshi occurs in any Beat, the Officer-in-charge shall at once report the fact to the Sub-divisional Police-officer. The [Sub-divisional Police-officer] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Part III-A/26.10.1984.] shall direct the Officer-in-charge to announce it or cause it to be announced in the Beat in such manner which the Officer-in-charge of a police-station may deem sufficient for bringing such vacancy to the notice of the residents of the Beat and shall display a copy of the vacancy notice in the Notice Board of the Police-station, Panchayat Samiti office and Grama Panchayat Office, if any, situated within the Beat calling for applications for appointment.
