Section 1(2) in The Orissa Grama Panchayats Act, 1964
(2)It shall extend to the whole of the State of Orissa :Provided that it shall not apply to any area which has been or may be constituted hereafter as a Municipality [* * *] [Omitted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 426/18.4.1994-Notification No. 6139-Legislative/18.4.1994.] under the provisions of the Orissa Municipal Act, 1950 (Orissa Act 23 of 1950) :Provided further that when any local area is excluded from a Municipality [* * *] [Omitted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 426/18.4.1994-Notification No. 6139-Legislative/18.4.1994.] under the provisions of the said Municipal Act, the provisions of this Act shall apply to such area.
