Section 8(1) in The Gujarat Private Forests (Acquisition) Act, 1973
(1)On receipt of an application under section 7, the Collector shall, after making a formal enquiry in the manner provided in the Code, make an award determining the amount payable to him under section 6.[Provided that where the amount so determined exceeds three lakhs of rupees the award shall not be made without the previous approval of the State Government.] [Proviso added by Gujarat 6 of 1985, dated 25,h April 1985 (w.r.e.f 07-01-1985)][***] [Sub-section (2) deleted by Gujarat 6 of 1985, dated 25th April 1985 (w.r.e.f 07-01-1985)]
