Section 355 in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
355. Closure of public street for parking purposes. -
(1)The Municipal Commissioner may, subject to the recommendations of the Municipal Streets Technical Committee and with the prior approval of the Mayor-in-Council, close any portion of a public street and declare it as a free parking area.(2)Parking fees at different rates for different vehicles for different areas for different periods shall be levied at such rates as may be determined by the Corporation by regulations.
