1. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that petitioners have made an application under Section 64(2) of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 2 before the Court of District Magistrate, Janjgir Champa which is pending consideration since 08.07.2016 and has not been decided till date. Therefore, the said authority be directed to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application expeditiously.
2. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
3. The prayer is fair and reasonable and is accordingly allowed.
4. Be that as it may, the concerned authority is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
