16. Original jurisdiction of [Additional District Judge] [Substituted for the words "Assistant Judge" by the Bombay Civil Courts (Amendment) Act (27 of 1984), S.2(a) (27-9-1984).].-
The District Judge may refer to any [Additional District Judge] [Substituted for the words "Assistant Judge" by the Bombay Civil Courts (Amendment) Act (27 of 1984), S.2(a) (27-9-1984).] subordinate to him [any original suits and proceedings of a civil nature] [Substituted for the words "original suits of which the subject-matter does not amount to forty thousand rupees in amount or value by" the by the Bom. Civil Courts (Amendment) Act, 1982 (Maha. Act 10 of 1983), Section 2(a) (1-1-1984).], [applications or references under Special Acts,] [Inserted by Bom Act 1 of 1900.
