Section 66 in Andhra Pradesh Rules Under the Registration Act, 1908

The signature of every person shall be taken next to his impression. The Registering Officer himself shall in the case of a marksman write the name against the mark. He shall add below each signature or mark his initials and the date which the impression is taken.
