Section 3(1) in The Saurashtra University Act, 1965
(1)The Chancellor, [the first Vice-Chancellor of the University, the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University] [Substituted for 'the first Vice-Chancellor of the University' by Gujarat 21 of 1968, dated 6th November 1968.] and the first members of the Senate, the Syndicate and the Academic Council of the University and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "The Saurashtra University".
