3. Powers of the University.
(1)The Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, the Rector and the members of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council so long as they continue to hold such office or membership shall constitute a body corporate by-the name of "The Assam Science and Technology University."(2)The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal, and shall sue and be sued by that name.
