Section 65(1) in The Saurashtra University Act, 1965
(1)It shall be the duty of the first Vice-Chancellor-(a)to give recognition to institutions, if any, as far as possible consistently with the provisions of section 36, and(b)to make arrangements for constituting the Senate, the Syndicate, the Academic Council and other authorities of the University, within six months after the date of his appointment or such longer period not exceeding one year as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct.
