Section 1 in Bombay Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1951
1. Short title, extent and commencement. -
(1)This Act may be called the Bombay Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1951.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force [in the pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay] on such [date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, [appoint]; and in the remaining part of the State of Maharashtra it shall come into, force on the [Commencement] of the Bombay Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection (Extension and Amendment) Act, 1960.]
