ORDER
% 26.04.2022 Mr. Siddhant Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the main contesting defendant, viz. defendant No. 1, submits that defendant No.1 has impugned order dated 15.09.2021 made in these proceedings, whereby the plaintiffs in this batch of matters were permitted to amend their plaints.
Mr. Kumar submits that by way of the amendments allowed, plaintiffs have changed the very foundation of their case, which may have a bearing on the defendant's pending applications under section 8 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 ('A&C Act' for short).
It is submitted that S.L.P.(Civil) Nos.6399-6446/2022 challenging order dated 15.09.2021 are pending consideration before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, where the matters are listed next on 09.05.2022. Counsel for defendant No.1 accordingly seeks deferment of the present proceedings.
Since a decision on the applications filed under section 8 of the A&C Act would go to the very root of the jurisdiction of this court to entertain and decide the present suits, re-notify on 31st May 2022.
