- The sale shall ordinarily be held in the village where the property was distrained or is stored or at the nearest place of public resort if the sale officer is of opinion that the property is likely to sell to better advantage there. In any case, the distrainer shall be bound to produce the property at the time and place of sale, and the cost of the transport thereof shall be considered part of the cost of distress.
