JNV, Nawada.
FACTS
Vide RTI dt 3.8.11, appellant had sought information on 7 points from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rewar, Nawada. As no information was received, an appeal was made on 3.9.11.
2. PIO vide letter dt 16.9.11, informed appellant that as the information sought by the appellant is old, he may visit the school and inspect the documents concerned relating to his RTI.
3. Appellant vide letter dt 1.10.11 informed PIO that he was unable to make a personal visit and requisite information may be provided to him.
5. Submissions made by the appellant and public authority were heard. AA submitted that the appeal filed was not received. After receipt of notice from the Commission, PIO had been directed vide letter dt 1.2.13 to provide available information to the appellant. The PIO submitted that the information relating to Accounts was very voluminous and hence he had offered inspection of the documents to the appellant. Copies of ACRs of other staff was personal information exempt u/s 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act.
DECISION 1
6. The Commission directs the PIO to allow inspection of concerned records relating to the queries raised by the appellant on a mutually convenient date and time. Copies of ACRs of the staff is personal information and hence exempt u/s 8(1)
(j) of the RTI Act. The above directions be complied with within three weeks from date of receipt of the order.
The appeal is disposed of.
