Section 25(vii) in The Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1952
(vii)[(a) Every row of seats in the auditorium shall be assigned a specific distinguishing mark such as 'A', 'B', 'C' and so on and very seat in each row shall be serially numbered. The serial number shall be inscribed at a prominent place on the seat in such a manner that the seat can be easily located.
